As it seems that many of the groups are being used only as an alternative to the Photo Gallery, I've decided to migrate those groups who's primary purpose is sharing photos into a area of the Photo Gallery.  I'm in the process of setting up  new sub-categories under the heading "Special Interests (User Moderated)" with the same names as the Groups. 

I've asked the moderators to move their content from the group gallery and into the photo gallery and then we'll take down the group.  This way we'll be able to use the Gallery for its intended purpose and the Groups area for its.

Going forward, if you'd like to start a new area under the Special Interests category, just send me a PM with your group name and a description and I'll add it and mark you the moderator of the group.

I think this will resolve some of the confusion and frustration in using the groups in a way that I had not foreseen.
