I am getting a "You must be a registered user to view pictures.  Go back to the home page to login."  However, I am logged in and the home page says "Welcome..."<username>.  I cannot click on pics and view them within the gallery.

Can you try completely logging out (  this link ) and retrying?  Most likely is that your old user NUMBER (which you never see or use) that the gallery references is out of sync with the new system.  Completely logging out should resync them together and you should only need to do this once.  I'll also email you these instructions.
